The University of Bondoukou has reached a decisive milestone in supporting its future graduates. In partnership with the Observatory for the Professional Integration of Higher Education Graduates (Oipdes), the institution officially inaugurated its Student Entrepreneurship Hub (Pee) and its brand-new incubator. The ceremony took place on Friday, May 8, 2026, in the university's conference room.

A springboard against youth unemployment

The main objective of the Pee is clear: to equip students with solid entrepreneurial skills to facilitate their integration into the job market or guide them towards self-employment.

Present at the event, Sub-Prefect Laurent Sonh (representing the Prefect of the Gontougo region, André Kouadio) praised a dynamic aligned with the State's priorities:

"The PEE is an approach geared towards inclusive growth that creates jobs."

He reiterated that this initiative is fully aligned with the Ivorian government's policy, which places youth employability at the heart of its national efforts to combat unemployment and poverty. The sub-prefect urged the students to demonstrate boldness and discipline in order to fully exploit the potential of this incubator.

Connecting training to market realities

From the academic leadership's perspective, the commitment is absolute. Professor Sib Sié Justin, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, reiterated the university's commitment to redesigning its curriculum to precisely meet the current demands of recruiters. He believes that the inaugural panel, focused on "Tools, Services, and Opportunities of the PEE," lays the groundwork for genuine strategic thinking about the professional future of students.

Objective: To train the future champions of the economy

Professor Djakalidja Coulibaly, director of Oipdes and representing Minister Adama Diawara for the occasion, congratulated the university for this managerial vision.

To succeed in its mission, the Pee will rely on four major pillars:

  1. The structural organization of student projects.
  2. Personalized coaching and mentoring .
  3. Rigorous post-incubation monitoring .
  4. The mobilization of financial and human resources .

Ultimately, this hub aims to foster a new generation of business leaders and "national champions" capable of boosting the Ivorian economy.
