Yopougon : Orange CI et YABA redonnent espoir à 400 écoliers
The Banco 2 district in Yopougon experienced a moment of solidarity this Saturday, November 22, 2025. The Orange Côte d'Ivoire Foundation and the YABA Foundation distributed 400 school kits to primary school students to support parents during this back-to-school period.
The ceremony, which opened with a prayer led by Father Joël N'Guessan, was welcomed by the president of the district, Litié Hokou Djolokomé, who expressed his gratitude to the partners and supporters mobilized for this initiative.
According to the president of the YABA Foundation, Erica Aouely, the kits were distributed as follows:
-CP1: 80
-CP2: 80
-CE1: 60
-CE2: 60
-CM1: 60
-CM2: 60
She recalled that this action is part of the legacy of Malaba Yaba Agnès, the inspirational figure who founded the organization. "Education and health are the foundation of an enterprising, responsible, and developed Africa," she emphasized, encouraging the children to "work, dream, and dare."
The YABA Foundation also highlighted its previous commitments, including:
-the Back to School Fairs 2021 and 2022, which enabled 5,800 people to access free ophthalmological consultations, and 1,138 children to receive glasses;
-The 2022 Treasure Hunt, which led to the installation of a computer room with 20 computers at the modern high school in Cocody.
The musical group Révolution entertained the crowd at the ceremony before the official distribution of the kits, in a festive atmosphere, full of solidarity and hope for the future of the students in the neighborhood.
