The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS) is taking action for the future of graduates. From July 16 to 18, 2026 , the 9th edition of the Baccalaureate Orientation Days (JOB 2026) will be held. The objective of this major national event is simple: to support new baccalaureate graduates in their choice of studies and guide them towards promising fields of study, perfectly aligned with the job market and the economic ambitions of Côte d'Ivoire.

Under the chairmanship of Minister Adama Diawara, this year's edition revolves around a strong theme:

"Science and technology career guidance: a strategic lever for national development."

Through this slogan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MESRS) hopes to create a real turning point for young people. The aim is to raise their awareness of the crucial role that scientific and technological disciplines play in innovation, economic competitiveness, and the sustainable development of the country.

A multi-site approach for greater proximity

To reach as many prospective students as possible, the ministry is innovating this year by deploying the event simultaneously on three key university campuses :

  1. Abidjan: At the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University of Cocody, from July 16 to 18.
  2. Bouaké: At Campus I of Alassane Ouattara University, on July 16 and 17.
  3. Korhogo: At Péléforo Gon Coulibaly University, on July 18th.

This decentralization aims to break down geographical barriers and give every high school graduate, wherever they are, the same chance of accessing quality information to decide their future.

The program includes: Immersion, discussions, and expert advice

The JOB 2026 event aims to be an interactive space and a wealth of opportunities for high school graduates, who will be able to:

  1. Discover in detail the map of courses offered by public and private higher education institutions.
  2. Engage directly with representatives from universities, higher education institutions and partner organizations to understand the real career opportunities in each field.
  3. Benefit from personalized coaching thanks to the involvement of career guidance experts. These experts will guide prospective students to reconcile their personal aspirations with the strategic development needs of Côte d'Ivoire.
