Yopougon : Adama Bictogo lance une vaste opération de libération des voies et d’assainissement
The deputy-mayor of Yopougon, Adama Bictogo, officially launched on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, a major operation to clear illegally occupied roads and sidewalks, clean gutters and control over overflowing household waste collection points.
The site visit began at the Siporex intersection, near the Yopougon train station, before continuing to Cité Verte, the Djédjé Bagnon market, and the Maroc neighborhood, not far from the mosque. The mayor also visited Sogefiha-Carrefour Magasin to assess the advanced state of disrepair of the road surface and to gather proposals for sustainable solutions presented by the technical services.
At the large Siporex intersection, Adama Bictogo was able to observe the effective start of the pipe cleaning work as well as the operation to evict traders who had set up anarchically on the roads and sidewalks of the Yopougon-Dabou axis.
Through this initiative, the municipality intends to improve traffic flow, strengthen the sanitation of the living environment and fight against unsanitary conditions in the town.
During his various stages, the deputy-mayor urged the people to show civic responsibility by preserving the cleanliness of their environment and by supporting the actions undertaken by the State and the town hall for a healthier living environment.
This large-scale operation is part of the dynamic of modernization and sustainable improvement of the living conditions of the inhabitants of Yopougon.
