A three-day workshop dedicated to the appropriation of the innovations of the new General Statute of the Civil Service opened this Monday, June 8, 2026. Chaired by Anne Désirée Ouloto-Lamizana, Minister of State, Minister of the Civil Service and Modernization of the Administration, this meeting brings together the regional prefects and the regional directors of the sector.
The objective of this workshop is to enable decentralized authorities to fully embrace the recent reforms aimed at modernizing the Ivorian public administration.
"The General Statute of the Civil Service constitutes the 'backbone' of the Ivorian administration," the Minister of State recalled, stressing that it sets the rules of the game, defines the benchmarks and frames the daily actions of civil servants.
This upgrade is directly in line with the vision of the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara. The stated ambition is clear: to build a modern, efficient, transparent administration guided by a sense of public service and merit.
For Anne Désirée Ouloto-Lamizana, this new status is both a structuring tool and a powerful lever for transformation. Its full mastery and rigorous application by all regional stakeholders remain the cornerstone of this modernization.
