In Akoupé, while some residents were going about their business, two robbers attempted another audacious heist, but fate and police vigilance quickly put an end to their criminal escapade.

These individuals, known for their numerous armed robberies in several locations in Ivory Coast, were arrested and brought before the court to answer for their actions.

The story begins as is often the case with this type of robbery: an accomplice, neatly dressed and with an innocent face, conducts reconnaissance at mobile money transfer agencies. He simulates a large transaction to verify the presence of cash and relays the information to the other members of the gang.

On that day, the robbers chose the time of the agency's closing , a time when the manager often finds himself alone and vulnerable.

No sooner had the robbery been committed and the money stolen than the two men fled on a motorcycle. But fate was not on their side: just a few meters from the scene of the crime, the motorcycle skidded, one of the robbers fell into a ravine and lost consciousness. The other, injured, tried to escape, limping, but the local police were already on his trail.

The first robber, taken to the hospital, was apprehended by police as soon as he regained consciousness and placed in custody. He initially tried to hide behind a false name , but faced with the experience and tenacity of the Abidjan Criminal Investigation Department , he quickly revealed his true identity. Meanwhile, the BRI Nord, a specialized intervention unit, mobilized to locate and apprehend the second accomplice, who was eventually found in the village of Brou Akpassou , where he thought he was safe.

These two men, members of a well-known gang , were involved in armed robberies in Marcory, Séguéla, Duékoué, Adzopé, and Akoupé, often armed and operating in a coordinated manner. Their leader, nicknamed "Euro," is already being held at the Abidjan Penitentiary Center for similar offenses.



In the end, thanks to police vigilance and the effectiveness of the investigations, two robbers were neutralized , putting an end to their criminal activities and allowing for a quick and exemplary response to the many victims of their actions.
