Drame sur l’autoroute du Nord : deux morts et plusieurs blessés dans un accident de circulation

A serious traffic accident occurred on Friday, May 15, 2026, on the Northern Highway, southbound at kilometer marker 53, resulting in 17 victims, including two fatalities. According to the Military Firefighters Group (GSPM), alerted at 7:05 p.m., the 4th Company of Yopougon quickly responded to the scene.

The accident involved a CTE public transport bus and a private vehicle. The violent collision caused a temporary interruption of traffic on this road.

Rescuers evacuated fourteen injured people to the Yopougon University Hospital, while another victim was transported to the Maria Medical Clinic for treatment.
