Incivisme routier : 1 an de prison ferme pour l'influenceuse Dame Gnahoré
Impunity on the road is over. Already cited by the General Directorate of Land Transport and Traffic (DGTTC) for using her phone while driving, influencer Dame Gnahoré has just been sentenced to one year in prison . A look back at a case that has become a symbol of the fight against road incivility.
A few months ago, a first video of her driving, smartphone in hand, had set social media ablaze. Summoned by the authorities, the findings proved alarming: her driving licence had no points left .
However, the DGTTC had chosen the path of goodwill:
This leniency was not enough. A few weeks later, a new video of the influencer leaked online, once again displaying behavior deemed irresponsible and dangerous behind the wheel.
For the authorities, the red line has been crossed. This blatant repeat offense has transformed the educational approach into a strict legal response.
The message from the DGTTC is clear: Digital notoriety does not place anyone above the law or the Highway Code.
By making this case a national example, the DGTTC (Directorate General for Transport and Communications) is taking a firm stance. From now on, the rule is strict: if education fails, the justice system will come down hard. This one-year prison sentence serves as a reminder to all road users that distracted driving can be extremely costly, both in terms of human lives and legal consequences.
