Opération Épervier XI : deux fumoirs détruits et du cannabis saisi à Yopougon
As part of Operation Sparrowhawk XI, the Narcotics and Drug Enforcement Police Directorate conducted a large-scale security operation in the Yopougon district on Friday, February 13, 2026. Motorized and foot patrols were deployed in several targeted areas to combat the trafficking and consumption of illicit substances.
This operation resulted in the destruction of two smoking dens identified as gathering places for drug users. Law enforcement also seized twenty blocks of cannabis.
Through this operation, the National Police reaffirms its commitment to intensifying the fight against narcotics and cleaning up neighborhoods plagued by this phenomenon. Operation Sparrowhawk XI is thus part of the overall strategy to secure the municipalities of the Abidjan district and protect the population from drug trafficking networks.
