NSIA Banque CI et l'École Jules Verne : Un Partenariat Pionnier pour l'Autonomie Solaire
The energy transition in Côte d'Ivoire has just reached a major milestone thanks to an exemplary partnership between NSIA Banque CI and the Jules Verne International School . The school has become one of the very first in the country to achieve total energy independence following the inauguration of its solar power plant on November 19, 2025.
This ambitious project was fully financed by NSIA Banque CI as part of the SUNREF program, the green finance mechanism supported by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the CGECI.
The infrastructure, covering 3,700 m² and equipped with 560 photovoltaic panels , now meets all of the campus's energy needs. From classrooms and administrative offices to the gymnasium, swimming pool, and teaching spaces, everything runs exclusively on solar power.
Beyond the technical aspect, this project has a strong educational dimension. The more than 1,500 students and 200 staff members learn in an environment powered by a clean and reliable energy source.

During the inauguration, Ms. Carine Domoraud , Director of SMEs & SMIs and representative of the Deputy General Management of NSIA Bank CI, emphasized the institution's commitment:
“We firmly believe that the energy transition is not only a necessity, but also a tremendous opportunity: an opportunity to innovate, to create value, and to prepare a greener future for generations to come.”
For her part, Ms. Vanessa Konan , Deputy Director General of the Jules Verne International School, highlighted the alignment of the project with the educational mission:
"By investing in this infrastructure, we are doing much more than producing electricity: we are creating informed, conscious, and responsible citizens."
Through this financing, NSIA Banque CI, already recognized for its initiatives of excellence, consolidates its position as a key partner in the sustainable transformation in Côte d'Ivoire, by supporting projects with a high impact for communities and the environment.
