Affaire Epstein : des experts de l’ONU évoquent de possibles “crimes contre l’humanité”
New revelations surrounding the Epstein cases are taking on an international dimension. Independent experts from the United Nations believe that the facts described in these documents could constitute crimes against humanity if their systematic and organized nature is confirmed by thorough investigations.
According to these specialists mandated by the Human Rights Council, the scale of the alleged abuses, their transnational dimension, and the existence of a structured network for recruiting and exploiting victims constitute elements that could meet the threshold required under international criminal law. They denounce, in particular, the commodification of women and girls and point to serious shortcomings in victim protection mechanisms.
However, no proceedings have yet been initiated before the International Criminal Court. Experts are instead calling for independent, impartial, and thorough investigations to establish any potential responsibility and ensure justice for the victims.
This stance marks a turning point in the interpretation of the Epstein case, which now goes beyond the strictly American legal framework to fall within the realm of human rights and international law.
