Armes, drogue, interpellations : les gendarmes démantèlent un vaste trafic dans l'Oise
The Oise gendarmerie has dismantled a cannabis resin trafficking operation. Several firearms and knives were seized, and five individuals were arrested.
"We were there in 2025, we are still there in 2026." Much more than a simple good resolution, the gendarmes of the Oise region continue to work tirelessly to stop drug trafficking.
On January 19, 2026, a large-scale police operation took place in the towns of Compiègne and Verberie , culminating in a major raid.
On that day, several dozen gendarmes from the Senlis company, reinforced by intervention units and canine teams from the Oise gendarmerie group, were mobilized to arrest five people involved in local drug trafficking.
In this case, law enforcement carried out around ten searches. They were marked by some striking discoveries.
In addition to the seizures of "a significant quantity" of cannabis resin, 140g of cannabis herb, and manufactured tobacco, the gendarmes of Oise seized several firearms (two rifles, two 12-gauge shotguns, two pellet guns, an electric pulse pistol, and an alarm pistol), as well as cartridges and hunting knives.
This action demonstrates once again the perseverance and constant commitment of the Oise gendarmerie in the fight against drug trafficking, alongside the magistrates of the Senlis Public Prosecutor's Office.

The searches also allowed the military to seize 4,400 euros in cash and six vehicles.
Following their detention on January 23, two suspects were remanded in custody pending trial and another was placed under judicial supervision.
