Copenhague : Mobilisation massive contre les velléités de Donald Trump sur le Groenland
Thousands of people gathered in Copenhagen on Saturday, January 17, to protest Donald Trump's plan to annex Greenland. The town hall square was decorated with the Danish and Greenlandic colors, while the crowd chanted "Kalaallit Nunaat" to reaffirm the island's sovereignty.
Between biting humor (signs reading "Make America Go Away") and serious demands, the movement is spreading to other cities like Aarhus and Nuuk. Organized by the Uagut and Inuit collectives, this mobilization aims to directly address a delegation from the US Congress present in Greenland. Despite the threats of tariffs brandished by Washington, the opposition remains firm: 85% of Greenlanders reject any integration into the United States, prioritizing their right to self-determination.
