Cristiano Ronaldo Jr : Un retour aux sources madrilènes ?
The love affair between the Ronaldo family and Real Madrid may be about to begin a new chapter. Currently on trial at the Valdebebas training center, 15-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. could well end up at the club where his father became a legend.
After following in his father's footsteps at Manchester United and then Al-Nassr, the young Portuguese winger is now training with Real Madrid's U16 team. While several top European clubs were keeping an eye on him, it seems his heart has prevailed.
According to initial reports in the Spanish press, the experiment is far from insignificant:
While his sporting performances are on point, the biggest challenge for the young Portuguese player remains managing his surname. It's a pressure that Cristiano Ronaldo himself tries to alleviate:
"He already has the pressure of being my son. Let him make his own mistakes."
By joining the Madrid academy, Cristiano Jr gives himself the ideal setting to turn promise into reality and finally begin to write his own name in football history.
Time will tell if this trial will lead to an official signing, but the signs are positive for seeing "Ronaldo" back on the pitches of Real Madrid.
