5. Recognition of Iran's full sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

1. Warning: Any American or Israeli military base in the region remains a potential target.
2. Diplomacy: Iran proposes the creation of joint committees with its neighbors to establish the truth about the origins of the current crisis.

The Trump-Tehran standoff

The dialogue remains a long-distance contest. While Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that Iran was seeking a ceasefire, Washington is imposing its own precondition: the immediate and complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz before any de-escalation.
