Floride : Deux adolescents de 14 ans perdent la vie dans l'effondrement d'un tunnel de sable
Citrus County, Florida, is reeling after a tragic accident last Sunday. George Watts and Derrick Hubbard, two 14-year-old best friends, died when the tunnel they were digging in a sand quarry near Inverness collapsed.
The two boys had excavated a structure about 1.5 meters deep before the sand collapsed on them. Alerted by their absence at lunch, their parents discovered their bicycles and shoes at the site and attempted to dig them out. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Derrick Hubbard was pronounced dead at the hospital on Sunday, while George Watts succumbed to his injuries the following Tuesday. The local community is paying tribute to the two young athletes who had just won an American football championship.
