France/Contre le racisme : la « grande marche populaire » décalée au 21 juin
Originally scheduled for May 3rd, the major public march against racism has been postponed. Its organizer, Bally Bagayoko, announced the event will now take place on Sunday, June 21st . This gathering aims to unite a massive opposition to the rise of discrimination in France.
The LFI representative (mayor of Saint-Denis and Pierrefitte-sur-Seine) justifies this change of date on logistical grounds. The proximity of May 3rd to the May 1st demonstrations risked dividing the forces and weakening the mobilization.
