A case of extremely violent child sexual abuse has shaken northern France. The Lille prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday the indictment of ten individuals, aged 29 to 50, involved in acts of barbarity against a five-year-old child subjected to chemical manipulation.

The facts: A "Chemsex" party that descends into atrocity

The alert was raised on February 15, 2025, reporting a "chemsex" party (drug use during sexual intercourse) in Lille. According to the investigation, the child was allegedly handed over to strangers by his own father .

The investigation reveals that the victim suffered aggravated sexual violence between November 2024 and February 2025. To commit these crimes, the perpetrators allegedly administered chemical substances to the boy in order to eliminate any capacity for resistance.

Profile of the accused and legal proceedings

The current judicial report indicates distinct situations for the suspects:

1. 10 men charged : Nine of them are currently in pre-trial detention.
2. A suicide in prison : One of the main suspects took his own life on June 21, 2025 while in custody.
3. The father's role : Prosecuted for incestuous sexual assault and complicity, it appears that he was also a victim of rape during that same evening.

The charges include "rape with acts of torture or barbarity," a crime punishable by life imprisonment .
