French biathlon is jubilant. Quentin Fillon Maillet clinched gold in the sprint (10km) after a masterful performance. The joy could have been complete, but Emilien Jacquelin , who led the race for much of the way, saw the podium slip away in the final moments, thwarted by the late charge of two Norwegians.

🥈 Cross-country skiing: Mathis Desloges, the big silver medal

What consistency! Mathis Desloges has earned another silver medal in the 15km freestyle. He finished just 5 seconds behind the legendary Johannes Klaebo, but nearly 10 seconds ahead of favorite Einar Hedegart. A monumental achievement.

❌ The cold shower: Zero points in Snowboardcross

This is the day's biggest blow. Despite hopes of an all-French final in the morning after a good run by flag bearer Chloé Trespeuch , the house of cards collapsed:

1. No medals were won by either the men or the women.
2. Léa Casta , France's last hope, was eliminated in the semi-finals.
3. A zero balance sheet for a discipline that nevertheless aimed for the top.
