Scandale en Serie A : Sexe, drogue et blanchiment secouent le Calcio
Italian football is going through a period of unprecedented turmoil. A major investigation, led by the Milan prosecutor's office, has just uncovered a sprawling network of clandestine parties. The scheme involves escorts, narcotics, and money laundering, all implicating some seventy professional players.
It all started with a structure called Ma.De Milano , based in Cinisello Balsamo. Under the guise of a luxury concierge service, this company, run by Emanuele Buttini and Deborah Ronchi (currently under arrest), orchestrated a tailor-made "entertainment" service for an elite composed of athletes and VIPs.
The organization offered premium packages to guarantee absolute discretion:
The physical evidence, including private messaging exchanges, mentions the widespread use of nitrous oxide ("the balloons"). This laughing gas is particularly popular in the sports world because it dissipates quickly, making it possible to evade doping controls.
The shockwave is massive: according to the ANSA news agency and La Repubblica , nearly 70 players in Italy's top flight have reportedly used these services. The clubs mentioned are staggering: Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Sassuolo, and Hellas Verona .
Note: While the players' names are currently protected by the confidentiality of the investigation (none are being directly prosecuted), the pressure is mounting. La Gazzetta dello Sport points out that the agency's social media accounts, including the Made Luxury Concierge page, were followed by numerous football stars, leaving indelible digital traces.
Behind the millions of euros and the champagne, the investigation reveals a cynical system of exploitation. More than 100 young women , from Eastern Europe or Latin America, served as cogs in this machine:
Ma.De Milano's influence didn't stop at the borders of Lombardy. Similar parties were organized in Mykonos during the summer months. Even more troubling, the investigation suggests that the network extended to other disciplines, with explicit mentions of Formula 1 drivers .
During the arrests, police seized more than 1.2 million euros in assets, demonstrating the colossal profitability of the network.
After Calciopoli and the match-fixing scandals, Italian football is facing its own internal demons. While Serie A remains silent for now, the public is demanding answers. Between potential sporting sanctions for behavior damaging to the sport's image and the impending revelations of identities, the upheaval is only just beginning.
