A fire of rare intensity ravaged an auto parts factory in Daejeon , in central China, on Friday. The provisional death toll is high: 10 people died and 59 others were injured .
The fire broke out around 1:00 PM (local time), while nearly 170 workers were on site. While the cause of the blaze remains unknown, the intensity of the flames surprised all the staff.

Official reaction: Faced with the scale of the tragedy, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung demanded the immediate mobilization of all available resources, both human and technical, to secure the site and treat the victims.
