Tragédie Routière : Un Sexagénaire Décède suite à un Accident à Sainte-Julienne
A man in his sixties died Sunday evening following a violent road collision in Sainte-Julienne, in the Lanaudière region.
The incident occurred on Route 337, around 2 p.m., and required the intervention of police officers from the Montcalm MRC. The accident involved two vehicles: a car and a pickup truck.
According to initial findings, the driver of the car, which was heading south, apparently lost control of his vehicle . It then veered into the oncoming lane, causing a head-on collision with the van, which was traveling northbound.
The 60-year-old driver was quickly transported to the hospital , where his death was unfortunately confirmed. The other driver sustained only minor injuries.
The Sûreté du Québec has opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. However, authorities are currently favoring the hypothesis that the victim suffered a medical episode while driving, which would explain the loss of control of the vehicle.
