Following the massive destruction that occurred on June 3, 2026, in the Campement neighborhood of Koumassi, the Public Prosecutor of Abidjan took a firm stance. An investigation has been launched, and the main suspect is being actively sought.

A false legal pretext to destroy homes

The case has caused a great stir on social media. To justify the demolition of numerous homes, a man named ALLOUI Brou Jacques cited a court decision.

However, the prosecutor's investigation quickly revealed the deception:

1. No green light: The document brandished did not authorize him to proceed with any demolitions. His official request had, moreover, been expressly rejected by the court.
2. A disproportionate impact: Even if her initial request had been validated, it only targeted five houses, a number far below the massive destruction observed on the ground.

Serious criminal charges have been brought.

The Public Prosecutor, Koné Braman Oumar, was categorical: these acts constitute serious violations of the law. In the absence of an enforceable judgment, the facts are formally classified as:

1. Disturbances to public order
2. Assault
3. Willful destruction of other people's property

These offences, provided for and punished by articles 179, 190, 382, 485 and 486 of the Penal Code, expose their perpetrator to heavy penalties.

The suspect is on the run, and the law is on his trail.

Given the seriousness of the situation, the judicial system is moving quickly. The prosecutor has ordered the immediate opening of an investigation to shed full light on this case.

Suspect status: Jacques ALLOUI Brou is currently at large. Law enforcement has received strict orders to locate and arrest him.
