The dramatic rise in the waters of the Beki River has submerged the road just before the village of Kouassi-Beniékro . Traffic is completely paralyzed on this strategic stretch of road.
Safety advice: Local authorities are urging extreme caution. It is strictly forbidden to attempt to cross the area until the floodwaters recede.
The situation is just as critical in the Zaranou area. Severe weather has caused significant damage to a bridge located just beyond the corridor from Ebilassokro . Crossing the bridge has become extremely difficult and dangerous for users.
