The Ivorian Press Agency (AIP) is accelerating its digital transformation. On Thursday, July 2, 2026, the agency's management brought together its journalists and communication professionals at its headquarters in Abidjan-Plateau for an intensive workshop. The objective? To master the art of leading debates and hosting multimedia programs.

Modernize and captivate audiences

This training course is directly in line with the Agency's strategy to modernize and diversify its content. It is structured around a central theme: "Conducting debates and facilitating multimedia sessions: professional techniques to enhance the attractiveness and audience of AIP's editorial platforms" .

The primary goal is to equip teams with the tools to prepare, moderate, and host programs with a high level of professionalism. Ultimately, this skills development aims to increase the visibility of the agency's flagship formats, such as the "Grands Rendez-vous de l'AIP" (AIP's Major Events) .

Field expertise at the service of the teams

Aimed at a broad audience—editors-in-chief, journalists from the central newsroom, audiovisual teams, communications professionals, and community managers—this workshop is decidedly practical. For this first day, participants benefited from the expertise of Dr. Laciné Fofana , a former journalist with RTI.

The modules covered the essential aspects of live and studio production:

1. Techniques for preparing a quality debate
2. Development of a broadcast script
3. Proficiency in interviewing and moderation
4. Managing sensitive situations and unforeseen events on set
