MUSIQUE- Meilleure artiste d'Afrique de l'Ouest au PRIMUD: La Guinéenne Djélykaba Bintou Kouyaté sacrée
The podium that hosted the ceremony of the 10th edition of the Urban Music and Coupé-Décalé Prize (Primud) in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) vibrated this Friday, October 10, to the rhythm of this major West African musical competition. This competition pitted 14 West African singers against each other, including Senegalese Mia Guissé and Bass Thioung. In the end, it was Guinean singer Djélykaba Bintou Kouyaté who won this prestigious award with 39.1% of the votes. She was honored with the title of best West African artist, ahead of Mia Guissé and Bass Thioung, as well as many other artists such as Sidiki Diabaté from Mali and Axel Merryl from Benin.
