Cameroun – Côte d’Ivoire : Paul Biya félicite Alassane Ouattara et appelle à un nouveau souffle de coopération
Cameroonian President Paul Biya officially sent a message of congratulations on Monday to Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara , who was re-elected following the presidential election of October 25, 2025.
In his statement, Paul Biya welcomed his counterpart's victory and praised the choice of the Ivorian people. He also emphasized the strength of bilateral relations between Yaoundé and Abidjan, characterized by long-standing political, economic, and cultural cooperation.
The Cameroonian head of state expressed his desire to further strengthen this strategic partnership , stressing the need to expand collaboration in key sectors such as trade, security, education, infrastructure and economic development.
This stance comes in a context where Alassane Ouattara begins a fourth term , confirmed by the official results, and while Ivory Coast is pursuing major economic and diplomatic projects.
For both countries, this reaffirmed rapprochement could pave the way for new joint projects, strengthening their role in Central and West Africa.
