Crise à l’UNJCI : Jean-Claude Coulibaly et Bertin N’Guessan face au Procureur ce mardi
Tensions are rising within the National Union of Journalists of Côte d'Ivoire (UNJCI). On the eve of the scheduled opening of its 12th Ordinary Congress, the two main figures of the organization, Jean-Claude Coulibaly (President of the Executive Council) and Bertin N'Guessan (President of the Board of Directors), are expected to appear before the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The two officials are scheduled to appear before the public prosecutor on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at precisely 9:00 AM. This information was confirmed by the individuals themselves on Monday, March 23.
Although the official reasons for these meetings have not yet been made public, they are taking place within the context of a major internal crisis . The organization of the 12th elective congress, initially scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, has indeed come to a standstill.
Note: This hearing could prove decisive for the immediate future of the UNJCI, as the corporation is more divided than ever over succession at the head of the organization.
