PPA-CI : La famille de Gala Kolebi frappée par le deuil en pleine détention du cadre

The African People's Party – Ivory Coast ( PPA-CI ) is in mourning. In an official statement, the political party of Laurent Gbagbo announced the death of Mr. Gala Bi Kolé , father of Gala Kolebi, an influential member of the party's Communication Commission.

A family under the weight of adversity

This death is part of a series of particularly trying ordeals for the deceased's loved ones. The statement highlights an accumulation of personal and family tragedies:

The incarceration of Gala Kolebi: The PPA-CI executive has been detained at the Abidjan Detention and Correction Center ( MACA ) since December 19, 2024. The party links this situation to his political commitment.
A double loss: The family had not yet finished mourning Gala Kolebi's grandmother, who passed away on February 24, 2026, at the venerable age of 106. Her funeral arrangements are still pending.
