Présidentielle 2025 : Alassane Ouattara dresse le bilan des réalisations et promet de nouveaux projets pour le Zanzan
Visiting Bondoukou as part of the presidential campaign, the candidate of the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP), Alassane Ouattara, gave a broad assessment of the achievements made in the Zanzan district since he came to power in 2011. The former bastion of underdevelopment, he recalled, has profoundly changed thanks to the combined action of the government and local populations.
The Head of State highlighted public investments estimated at 450 billion CFA francs since his 2015 state visit. These funds have made it possible to electrify 283 localities, bringing the coverage rate to 90%, build 34 high schools and colleges, 1,262 classrooms, 28 water towers, and rehabilitate five general hospitals as well as the Regional Hospital Center (CHR). The opening of the Bondoukou Public University and the construction of the Girls' High School of Excellence are among the most emblematic achievements.
On the road front, the RHDP candidate highlighted the rehabilitation of eastern roads, particularly the Bondoukou–Soko–Ghana border and Bondoukou–Bouna roads. New projects have also been announced: the paving of an additional 10 km in Bondoukou and Bouna, 3 km in the towns of Koun-Fao, Tanda, Sandégué and Transua, as well as the construction of the Tanda–Sandégué–Bassawa road.
The outgoing president also promised the construction of a road linking Bondoukou to Bouaké via Satama-Sokoura, to ensure the connection between the Central and Eastern highways. "These advances are only the beginning," declared Alassane Ouattara, reaffirming his desire to definitively close the gap in Zanzan. He called on the population to preserve peace and cohesion, which he believes are the key to a united, stable, and prosperous Côte d'Ivoire.
Before his speech, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, a native of the region and national campaign director of the RHDP, praised the leadership of the head of state and promised that Zanzan would deliver a “KO blow” to his candidate in the first round of voting.
On behalf of the district's kings and traditional chiefs, Nanan Kouakou Bini expressed the people's gratitude to President Ouattara for the many development initiatives undertaken in the region. He cited in particular the University of Bondoukou, the Girls' High School of Excellence, as well as the CHR and INFAS construction sites, which he said were symbols of sustainable progress.
The traditional chief recalled the historical and fraternal ties uniting the Bron people, the Koulango, and the Ouattara family, affirming that "the president is at home here." He assured that the people of Zanzan are convinced of his work and his vision for a modern and democratic Côte d'Ivoire. "We reaffirm our total support for President Alassane Ouattara, a man of peace, efficiency, and performance," he concluded, before expressing his wishes for health and success for the RHDP candidate. According to him, Minister Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani will carry the voice and the grievances of the district after the "resounding victory" announced in the presidential election.
