Drame sur l’autoroute du Nord : Un car UTB fait une sortie de route au PK 272
The morning of Friday, April 3, 2026, was marked by a serious traffic accident. At around 6:22 a.m. , a UTB company bus, carrying about sixty passengers, violently left the road on the Yamoussoukro-Bouaké road, at kilometer marker (PK) 272.
The rapid intervention of the firefighters from the 5th company allowed them to draw up an initial alarming assessment. Of the 60 passengers affected, the emergency services reported:
The scale of the disaster required a massive deployment of resources. In addition to the firefighters, units from the National Gendarmerie , the FER (Road Maintenance Fund) and the SOAD coordinated their efforts to secure the area and ease traffic flow on this strategic section.
