The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of State, Minister of Defense, Téné Birahima Ouattara , in the presence of General Alexandre Apalo Touré , Commander-in-Chief of the National Gendarmerie.
This new infrastructure is part of the 45 Brigades Project , initiated by the Ivorian government to strengthen the state's presence and improve the security of populations in rural and peri-urban areas. Built on a four-hectare site, the brigade includes modern offices, housing for the gendarmes, a training ground, and a perimeter fence equipped with watchtowers.
Minister Téné Birahima Ouattara welcomed "a concrete step towards bringing security forces closer to citizens," emphasizing that this initiative aims to prevent organized crime, trafficking, and illegal gold mining, which have long plagued the region.
