L'OFT et l'ULCR s'unissent pour démanteler les barrages routiers illégaux
The Transport Fluidity Observatory (OFT) is taking a tougher stance. In collaboration with the Anti-Extortion Unit (ULCR), the organization announced the launch, this Monday, May 4, 2026, of a large-scale crackdown targeting unauthorized checkpoints.
During the presentation of the 2025 technical report on traffic flow, the Secretary General of the OFT (Office of Transport), Dr. Kouyaté Mohamed, condemned the proliferation of illegal roadblocks. He reiterated that, according to national standards, only 33 localities are officially authorized to host checkpoints. This initiative aims to clean up the transport sector and guarantee the free movement of goods and people throughout the country.
