As part of Operation Sparrowhawk XI , Ivorian law enforcement has dealt a significant blow to the illicit trade in pharmaceutical products. The regional police station in Abengourou seized a shipment of substandard and falsified medicines (SFMs) with an estimated value of over 5 million CFA francs .
On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, acting on an anonymous tip, officers conducted a targeted search in the commune of Agnibilékrou. The merchandise was hidden in an unfinished house located in the Mougoubakro neighborhood.
