Coopération militaire : Les armées ivoiriennes reçoivent un don médical de 2 milliards de FCFA
National defense also depends on health. This Friday, April 10, 2026, the Moka-Moka Insurance Agency (Agemas) took a historic step in its support for the armed forces of Côte d'Ivoire by handing over a batch of medical equipment of exceptional value.
The donation, estimated at two billion CFA francs , consists of state-of-the-art biomedical equipment packed in three 40-foot containers. This contribution aims to modernize military healthcare infrastructure and ensure optimal care both in the field and in field hospitals.
This large-scale project was made possible through international collaboration. The president of Agemas, Amon Oi Amon , highlighted the crucial involvement of two American NGOs based in Houston:
"Taking care of the soldier's health is protecting the nation," Mr. Amon stated, noting that an army's operational capability depends first and foremost on the strength of its troops.
Through its representative Jean Bouadou, the American side clarified that this equipment is not limited to combat medical care. It will strengthen essential specialized units, including:
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, General Lassina Doumbia , welcomed this gesture, which he described as "a useful contribution to the nation." He believes this public-private partnership is a powerful motivator.
In conclusion, this initiative illustrates a shared commitment to placing people at the heart of defense strategy. Thanks to this international solidarity, the Ivorian armed forces now have modern tools to protect those who protect Côte d'Ivoire.
