InTech Santé et Medical Expo fusionnent : Abidjan, futur épicentre de la santé connectée en Afrique

This marks a major turning point for the medical sector in West Africa. On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, the organizers of InTech Santé (SGCI) and Medical Expo (ATLM Expo) officially announced their merger. Now combined, these two leading events will be held from June 18 to 20, 2026, at the Abidjan Exhibition Center.

Under the theme "The African digital ecosystem for interconnected and sovereign health" , this alliance aims to break down barriers between technological innovation and clinical practice.

Key figures for the 2026 edition

The ambition is clear: to surpass the previous year's records in order to establish Ivory Coast's regional dominance.

  1. 200 exhibitors expected.
  2. 4,000 participants.
  3. 15 high-level conferences.
  4. A startup competition dedicated to HealthTech.
  5. B2B meetings to stimulate investment.

A strategic vision: Technology + Medicine

For Ibrahim Demir , CEO of ATLM Expo CI, this merger is an absolute necessity. By combining medicine and pharmacy with digital transformation, the event creates a unique platform for public-private cooperation.

For his part, Besir Kemal Sahin , CEO of Exporturk, sees Côte d'Ivoire as a rising giant. Given that healthcare spending represents 3 to 5% of Ivorian GDP, he believes the potential for growth is a historic opportunity for those capable of controlling the supply chain and human capital.

The Ivorian state is banking on digital sovereignty

Representing Health Minister Pierre Demba, Soltié Coulibaly reaffirmed the government's full support for this initiative. She emphasized that digitalization is no longer an option, but a pillar of national policy through:

  1. The computerized patient record .
  2. The rise of telemedicine .
  3. The interoperability of information systems.

The absolute priority? Data sovereignty. For the ministry, the location of medical data within Ivorian territory is a guarantee of dignity and trust towards citizens.

Call to investors

Ms. Coulibaly concluded by inviting the private sector to become more involved, promising that the most innovative solutions emerging from the forum would be considered for direct integration into public health programs.

Abidjan is thus preparing to demonstrate that it is no longer content to consume technology, but that it is actively shaping the future of African medicine.
