Le cap sur "Zéro Palu" d'ici 2030 s'intensifie
On the occasion of World Malaria Day, celebrated this Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Anyama, the Ivorian government reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating the disease within four years. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and the National Malaria Control Program (PNLP), the event served as a platform to mobilize citizens around the theme: "Ending malaria: now it's possible. Let's act together."
The Minister of Health, Pierre N'gou Dimba, presented an encouraging assessment, illustrating the effectiveness of recent health policies:
"Malaria remains the leading cause of morbidity in children under five and still accounts for 30% of medical consultations." — Pierre N'gou Dimba , Minister of Health.
To achieve the 2030 target, the Ivorian strategy now relies on a multi-sectoral approach:
The success of this fight depends on synergy between the State, technical and financial partners, and civil society. The Minister concluded his address with a call for general mobilization , reiterating that the total elimination of malaria in Côte d'Ivoire is a challenge within the country's reach if collective efforts are maintained.
