Partenariat historique de 272 milliards FCFA entre la Côte d’Ivoire et les États-Unis
A new milestone has been reached in Ivorian-American health cooperation. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé and Ambassador Jessica Ba signed a memorandum of understanding for $487.18 million (approximately 272 billion FCFA) on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
This five-year funding is part of the "America First" strategy and aims for health sovereignty. The plan provides for progressive co-financing: by 2030, Côte d'Ivoire will mobilize 163 billion CFA francs (60% of the budget) to ensure the autonomy of its health system. Funds will be allocated primarily to the fight against HIV/AIDS and malaria, and to improving maternal and child health.
