Un Pôle de Santé Vital à Songon : Beugré Mambé Lance la Construction du Centre de Transfusion Sanguine
The Greater Abidjan healthcare system has reached a major milestone. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé laid the foundation stone for the future Songon Departmental Blood Transfusion Center this Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Abadjin Kouté site. This event symbolizes the Government's commitment to guaranteeing access to quality, local healthcare for all.
In front of a large and enthusiastic crowd, the Prime Minister stressed that this new center is a strong symbol of the trust that the State places in the people of Songon.
"This future and splendid center is first and foremost yours... I invite you, once the work is completed, to take ownership of it, to protect it and above all to bring it to life through your regular commitment to blood donation ," urged Robert Beugré Mambé, emphasizing the need for citizen involvement.
According to the Ivorian Press Agency (AIP), the establishment, whose works are expected to last six months , will play a crucial role.
The Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, Pierre N'Gou Dimba , detailed the essential mission of the center: collection, preparation, distribution of labile blood products, and guarantee of transfusion safety for the entire Songon area and its surroundings.
The choice of Songon is considered "strategic, humanitarian and forward-looking" . Indeed, this locality, experiencing rapid demographic and economic growth, is at the center of a developing network of hospital infrastructure, making the presence of a modern transfusion facility essential.
Minister Dimba recalled a fundamental truth: "Blood is not manufactured, it is given." He stressed that this initiative is part of the national strategic plan aimed at decentralizing health services and bringing technical capacities closer to the population.
The Member of Parliament and Mayor of Songon, Gbrou Alloboué Osé , welcomed the realization of this project, which he described as "a symbol of life, solidarity and hope." He reaffirmed the commitment of the inhabitants to support the Government in the success of this "major humanitarian undertaking."
Ultimately, with this future center, Songon is on the verge of transforming into an important health hub , strengthening national solidarity and placing the well-being of citizens at the heart of public action.
