Abobo : Koné Brahima Yves offre 250 tonnes de vivres pour le Ramadan 2026
The Abobo district hosted the traditional Ramadan fasting kit distribution ceremony on Sunday, February 15, 2026. This initiative, launched by Koné Brahima Yves , Director General of the Coffee and Cocoa Council, was undertaken in collaboration with partners and friends. This act of solidarity is part of the preparations for the month of Ramadan.
Placed under the high patronage of Téné Birahima Ouattara, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence , and under the co-chairmanship of the President of the Senate and the President of the Economic, Social, Environmental and Cultural Council, the ceremony brought together administrative authorities, religious leaders, community leaders and populations.
In total, 125 tonnes of rice and 125 tonnes of sugar were distributed to Muslim and Christian worshippers as well as to the most vulnerable social groups, in a spirit of sharing, social cohesion and living together.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, the spokesperson expressed her gratitude to the donor for this socially significant gesture. The Supreme Guide of COSIM, for his part, praised an initiative that reflects the values of solidarity, compassion, and mutual support promoted during the month of Ramadan.
This humanitarian action, which has become a tradition, testifies to Koné Brahima Yves's constant commitment to the well-being of the population and the promotion of social peace in Ivory Coast.
