African CIO Awards 2026 : Le triomphe de l’IA ivoirienne à vocation sociale
Ivory Coast's technological genius shines on the international stage. At the prestigious Gitex Africa 2026 summit, held in Marrakech from April 7 to 9, the National Agency for Universal Telecommunications Service ( ANSUT ) won the "AI for Good and Sustainability" award.
This award, presented as part of the African CIO Awards , recognizes Côte d'Ivoire's commitment to inclusive and sustainable technology.
ANSUT distinguished itself through two innovative solutions designed to overcome local barriers and optimize governance:
The Ivorian bid, championed by Patrick Somet , Director of Digital Transformation and Innovation, is based on a clear philosophy: AI must be a lever for socio-economic transformation above all.
"This distinction reinforces our conviction that technological innovation, when designed for our African realities, can become a powerful engine serving the common good," said Patrick Somet.
Under the theme of "Strategic Alignment in the Age of Artificial Intelligence", the African CIO Awards have once again proven that African expertise is ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
For ANSUT, this prize is not just an achievement, it's a springboard to accelerate Universal Telecommunications Service . By demonstrating that "Made in Africa" AI can transform governance, Côte d'Ivoire is establishing itself as a key technological leader on the continent.
