Brobo : Louis Kouakou Habonouan lance une vaste opération d'identification pour 400 villages

The mayor and member of parliament for Brobo, Louis Kouakou Habonouan , is taking action against the lack of administrative documents. During a ceremony held on March 7, 2026, at DKG Square, the elected official officially launched a special operation aimed at facilitating the issuance of National Identity Cards (CNIs) for residents of nearly 400 villages.

A local deployment over two years

In partnership with the regional directorate of ONECI , this campaign targets the cantons of Ahaly, Faafouè, Sah, Dohoun, N'dranouan, Fari and Pépressou.

  1. Schedule: Effective start on March 9, 2026 in Brobo, Mamini and Bounda.
  2. Duration: The operation will continue until mid-2028 to cover the entire territory concerned.
  3. Arrangement: Mobile teams based at the Brobo multipurpose center, supported by a fluid judicial system (in collaboration with the prosecutor of Bouaké) to accelerate the issuance of the required documents from the age of 5.

Beyond the election: human development

In his meeting with traditional leaders, the mayor was keen to clarify the objective of this initiative. For him, identification is a pillar of human development before it is an electoral issue.

"Every citizen must be recognized by the State in order to exist socially and economically," he stressed.

A social and environmental record that has been praised

This meeting was also an opportunity for the local population, represented by Nana N'guessan Bernard , to express their gratitude for the recent projects:

  1. Infrastructure: Reprofiling of 70 km of roads and rural electrification.
  2. Social: Women's empowerment and youth integration.
  3. Sanitation: The mayor took the opportunity to equip the town with new cleaning equipment.

The chairman of the board of directors of ONEP welcomed this initiative, seeing it as a model of support for the "V Baoulé", transforming the inhabitants of rural areas into true actors in the local economy.
