Ivorian artist Ariel Sheney is facing an exceptionally cruel ordeal. Just days after mourning the loss of his wife, Nadiya Sabeh , he announced on Saturday, December 6th, the death of his father, Pastor SRÊ Jean Djiétohi .

The information, shared on his Facebook page, testifies to the artist's extreme pain in the face of this double tragedy.

"It is with unspeakable pain that I announce the passing of my father, Pastor SRÊ Jean Djiétohi. Just a few days after the loss of my beloved wife, another pillar of my life has left us. I have lost my father, my guide, my quiet strength."

A Painful Chain of Events

The passing of his wife, Nadiya Sabeh, occurred on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The announcement of this first loss had already plunged Ariel Sheney and his loved ones into deep sadness, the artist publicly sharing his grief on December 5 with these touching words: "My lioness has passed away."

This new loss, that of his father, comes while the artist is already in the midst of funeral arrangements.

Ariel Sheney specified that condolences relating to the death of his father will take place "in the coming days" , after the burial of his wife Nadiya, in order to respect the mourning already begun.
