Galébré : L'eau potable, une réalité qui transforme la vie des populations

The inauguration of this infrastructure is a crucial step towards improving local living conditions. According to the authorities, the new access to drinking water offers people the opportunity to live healthily and reduce the health risks associated with using untreated water.
This project falls directly within the framework of the Government's "Water for All" program .
The Minister of Water Resources, Sanitation and Public Health, Bouaké Fofana, emphasized that this initiative specifically aims to improve access to drinking water and sanitation in rural and disadvantaged areas . This project notably helps to reduce the daily burden of water collection traditionally borne by women and children.
The ceremony was an opportunity to reaffirm the government's vision of advancing drinking water coverage across the country.
Minister Fofana mentioned the continued active rollout of the "Water for All" program across the entire country. The objective is clear: to ensure that more communities benefit from sustainable and safe access to drinking water , thereby consolidating the gains made in hygiene and rural development.
Several members of the government honored the event with their presence, including Minister Anne Désirée Ouloto Lamizana, who represented the Prime Minister.
Welcoming the efforts made for the rapid completion of this project, this inauguration fulfills a promise made in 2018. At the time, during a visit to the locality, the late former head of government, Amadou Coulibaly, had announced drinking water projects specifically intended for the women of Galébré.
