Ghana : Une cycliste ivoirienne saluée au Parlement pour son engagement en faveur d’une Afrique verte
Accra, November 6, 2025 – During a plenary session, the Ghanaian Assembly paid tribute to Yasmine Diawara , a young Ivorian cyclist known as “La go à vélo” , for her courage and commitment to a greener and more inclusive Africa.
It was the Honorable Rita Sowah who spoke to commend Yasmine's determination, who travelled alone, by bicycle, from Korhogo to Accra in order to promote her WIRI project , an initiative that defends ecology and the involvement of young people in the development of the continent.
“Leadership doesn’t always rhyme with suits and dresses. Sometimes, leadership wears sneakers, a helmet and ambitions that never waver,” said Rita Sowah, highlighting the strength and originality of the young Ivorian woman’s commitment .
Yasmine's achievement goes beyond a tribute to African youth: it demonstrates that perseverance and conviction can make one's voice heard, even beyond national borders . Her journey has become a symbol of courage and youthful leadership, inspiring all those who wish to contribute to a sustainable and inclusive continent.
