Immobilier en Côte d’Ivoire : Nhood mise sur la durabilité et l'accessibilité pour contrer la crise

Faced with increasing land pressure in Greater Abidjan, which is approaching 6 million inhabitants, real estate stakeholders are mobilizing. On March 25, 2026, Nhood Côte d'Ivoire (a subsidiary of the Auchan group) brought together its strategic partners in Cocody to outline the contours of a more resilient and inclusive Ivorian housing system.

A strong local presence reinforced by strategic alliances

Since its establishment in 2022, Nhood has transformed the local real estate landscape. Stanislas Rhomer , Managing Director of the subsidiary, took advantage of this evening to reaffirm the strength of the partnerships forged, notably the one concluded in 2025 with H&A Properties .

In four years, the group has extended its influence across the entire national territory thanks to expertise structured around four pillars:

  1. Property Management
  2. Real estate transaction
  3. Asset Management
  4. Project Management

Meeting the housing challenge: Between luxury and accessibility

The mismatch between supply and demand remains the major challenge. To address this, Nhood is deploying a two-pronged strategy:

  1. Short term: Launch of an affordable apartment project in Grand-Bassam .
  2. Long term: Development of economic and social programs targeting the middle class , without sacrificing high standards and respect for the environment.
"The question is how to select land, both on the outskirts and in the city center, to meet the needs of a population seeking safe and certified housing," stressed Stanislas Rhomer.

Growth drivers: Digitalization and Maintenance

The group welcomed the state reforms, particularly the modernization of the land registry and the securing of land titles, which facilitate investment. However, two major challenges remain to ensure the sector's long-term viability:

  1. Facility Management: Ensuring the upkeep and technical maintenance of buildings over the long term.
  2. Funding: Finding sustainable mechanisms to support large-scale projects.

A shared vision for the Ivorian market

This meeting also provided an opportunity for the group's leaders, including Antoine Grolin (President of Nhood) and Stéphane Leverger (General Secretary for Africa), to congratulate the local teams. Their ambition is clear: to structure the Ivorian real estate market by focusing on "successful collaborations" and a shared vision of growth with institutions and private stakeholders.

In summary: Nhood Côte d'Ivoire is no longer content with just building; the company is part of an urban transformation approach focused on land security , ecology and financial accessibility .
