Issia : La BAC déjoue un braquage de 25 millions de FCFA, deux suspects arrêtés

The vigilance of law enforcement prevented an economic disaster in Issia, the "City of the Rock". On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Anti-Crime Brigade (BAC) , supported by the local police station, thwarted the plans of two robbers who had come specifically from Méagui to rob a coffee and cocoa trader.

A routine patrol that turns into an arrest

The operation began during a security patrol in the streets of Issia. The police officers spotted three individuals with nervous behavior riding an Apsonic brand motorcycle.

Upon seeing the police, the suspects refused to comply with arrest orders. In the ensuing confusion, one of the three accomplices managed to escape , leaving his two accomplices behind.

  1. KAK Richard , 33 years old, of Ivorian nationality.
  2. Z. Bassirou (alias Arouna) , 34 years old, of Burkinabe nationality.

A seized arsenal of war

The immediate body search left no doubt as to the dangerous nature of the pair. Officers seized:

  1. An automatic pistol with a loaded magazine.
  2. A bladed weapon .

The target: A cocoa buyer transporting 25 million

During their interrogation, the two men confessed. They revealed that they had left the Nawa region (Méagui) with a specific objective: to intercept a buyer of agricultural products. He was preparing to transport 25 million CFA francs to San Pedro. The criminals' plan was to rob him before he left the city of Issia.

Legal consequences: The two suspects have been transferred to the Daloa police headquarters. They will be brought before the public prosecutor soon to answer for their actions.

A strong signal against organized crime

This raid is a major victory for the national police in protecting actors in the coffee-cocoa sector, a recurring target of criminal networks due to the significant flow of cash during the trade.
