Lancement des 16 Jours d'Activisme Contre les Violences Faites aux Femmes et aux Filles
The Ministry of Women, Family and Children (MFFE) has announced the launch of the 35th edition of the international 16 Days of Activism against violence against women and girls campaign.
This annual campaign aims to bring together and raise awareness among all components of society and local authorities to prevent and eliminate violence.
The MFFE emphasizes that these 16 days are a crucial period for intensifying the fight against serious abuses, including:
The 2025 edition includes a rich program including large-scale awareness campaigns , community dialogues , capacity-building workshops , and advocacy actions with the authorities to better protect rights.
The MFFE is launching a solemn appeal:
“Political actors, community leaders, civil society organizations and local populations are invited to actively participate in this collective dynamic in order to break the cycle of violence, combat impunity , and guarantee a safer future that respects the rights of women and girls in Côte d'Ivoire.”
This initiative, led by the Ministry and its partners, reaffirms Côte d'Ivoire's firm commitment to building a society where all forms of violence against women and girls are fought with determination.
