Lutte contre la pauvreté : 7,2 milliards de FCFA injectés pour l'autonomisation de 100 000 ménages
The Ivorian government has taken a new step in its social policy. On Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Katiola, the Ministry of National Cohesion, Solidarity and the Fight Against Poverty officially launched the payment of exit subsidies for beneficiaries of the Productive Social Safety Nets Program.
After three years of financial support and practical training, 100,000 households are completing their support program. To consolidate their gains, the government is granting them additional assistance:
"This money should be used to amplify your initiatives. The end of the program does not mean the end of your progress," the supervising minister emphasized during the ceremony.
The celebration brought together the populations of Hambol and Tchologo , two regions heavily impacted by the system:
Minister Ibrahim Kalil Konaté, present on behalf of the Vice-President, praised a work that "restores dignity to the weakest" and testifies to the social vision of the Head of State.
To ensure rigorous local monitoring, the ministry has also provided its regional offices and community workers with new vehicles and motorcycles . This equipment should facilitate support for families in remote areas.
The results to date: The Productive Social Safety Nets Programme has already supported 527,000 households across the 31 regions of Côte d'Ivoire, focusing on skills development and the rational use of resources to sustainably break the cycle of poverty.
