Port Autonome d'Abidjan : Hilaire Lamizana prend les rênes du Conseil d'Administration
A new chapter begins for the governance of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan (PAA). Following an extraordinary session of the Board of Directors held this Thursday, Hilaire Lamizana was officially appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the institution.
Representing the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, on the Council, Hilaire Lamizana succeeds the late Abdou Touré. His appointment is seen as a choice of continuity and expertise .
The new Chairman of the Board is no stranger to the Ivorian port sector. He previously served as Director General of the Autonomous Port of San-Pédro, a solid experience that gives him undisputed legitimacy to oversee the strategic direction of West Africa's leading port.
Upon taking office, Hilaire Lamizana was keen to express his gratitude to the Head of State while setting the course:
The Port of Abidjan remains the economic heart of Ivory Coast and a vital corridor for the hinterland countries:
"The governance of the PAA is a matter of economic sovereignty. With the arrival of Mr. Lamizana, stakeholders in the sector expect a new impetus to consolidate Abidjan's leadership in the face of regional competition."
